We jump in the car after a day of work & activities ready to go home. The traffic – atrocious. The tummies – rumbling. So we hang a u and drive to Panera Bread Co. Where I order this tasty steak and white cheddar pannini. Crusty bread, medium well steak and gooey cheddar cheese. Traffic: I don’t mind.
I really like a variety of foods but sometimes I really want to sample basic pleasures from my youth. The Sonic All-American Hot Dog fit the bill today with a Lemon berry Slush was just the ticket.
This weekend I was introduced to Brio’s in celebration of my cousin’s birthday. It is one of her favorite places and I really enjoyed my food but if and when we return I am going to order what my son had. It was as light and tasty with fresh basil, angel hair pasta, and sweet red peppers.
My son & I, from time to time, really enjoy going to California Pizza Kitchen. Usually he indulges in a thin crust cheese pizza with tomatoes but every once and a while he joins me in a big bowl of pasta. This time, it was the Asparagus and Spinach Spaghetti (his had shrimp). So yummy!
There are ladies at my job who amaze me. I, when in the right setting, can be quite the talker. With the slightest provocation I am prone to tell them what I Iike. In a previous post I gushed about my favorite ginger ale. I still believe that Northern Neck is the tastiest ginger ale in a can and I shared my love of the golden beverage with one of the ladies (as well as how hard it is for me to find).
Well, my birthday was just a few days ago. When I walk to my desk, one of the first things I see is a lovely green case of Northern Neck waiting for me with a card. How on earth they can remember things I say is beyond me.
Of course I just had to go thank her and when I did she told me she found it at a local grocery store. Well this is awesome for me. It won’t take long for me to fly through the sodas she gave me, but I do so armed with the knowledge that more are now only a short drive away.
